David Shaw to sponsor prize for entrepreneurship on the occasion of Covetrus IPO and 35th anniversary of IDEXX
The Maine Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE) announced today the creation of a prize for entrepreneurship, sponsored by David E. Shaw. The prize will become part of MCE’s 2019 Top Gun program designed to support the next generation of great Maine-based companies. Announcement of the Shaw prize by MCE can be viewed HERE
David Shaw is a well-known business and social entrepreneur who has helped build more than a dozen science-based businesses and non-profit organizations. The timing of the award corresponds to the public offering of Covetrus, where Shaw is co-founder and board chair, and the 35th anniversary of the founding of IDEXX Laboratories by David Shaw.
