Maine Life Science Venture Summit
David Shaw was a keynote speaker at the August 2019 Maine Life Science Venture Summit at the University of New England, organized by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurship. Sessions addressed topics such as building successful biotech businesses in Maine, developing a culture of life science entrepreneurship in Maine research institutions, and building successful incubators/accelerators.
Shaw discussed his experience in both business and social entrepreneurship in Maine, with a special focus on IDEXX Laboratories and The Jackson Laboratory. The audience saw a screening of Shaw’s video on the creation of IDEXX.
Shaw also provided a link to his blog post and short film celebrating the 90thanniversary of The Jackson Laboratory, where he is chair emeritus with a 30 year affiliation with this world renowned genetics institute.
