Recipients of Leslie Cheek Medal – College of William and Mary

I was pleased to become better acquainted with the College of William and Mary last year as I joined my wife as recipients of the college’s Leslie Cheek Medal

During our visit on campus I had the opportunity to give guest lectures at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and at the Mason School of Business. Among many other things, I was impressed with the Mason School’s focus on the benefits of “design thinking” in building successful businesses. Professor Michael Luchs is an example of a faculty member at Mason who is very articulate on this issue,

I was also impressed with the college’s AidData collaborative initiative to make international aid information more accessible and usable to a wide range of donors and other stakeholders
