Expanding Access to Higher Education for Underserved Communities: Shaw Family Support of USM Promise Scholars Program

Congratulations to the University of Southern Maine for establishing the USM Promise Scholars Program to help transform dreams into reality for underserved students.

Shaw family funding support is driven by our conviction that this program will annually change the lives of ~100 talented Maine students faced with social mobility challenges, education access difficulties and limited financial means. More than a scholarship, the program helps talented students overcome financial, academic, and cultural barriers, to complete their degrees, graduate without debt, and make significant contributions to their communities.
