The 2016 Blue Ocean Film Festival and Conservation Summit in St. Petersburg, Florida featured an impressive line up of films and seminars. It was an honor for our team to have the Second Century Stewardship film awarded “best educational non-broadcast program” at the festival, and for the film to be recognized as a finalist in the soundtrack category.
Each year conservation leaders are recognized at the Summit. My friend Nainoa Thompson, president of the Polynesian Voyaging Society, was honored with the 2016 Legacy Award, and I was recognized with the 2016 Making Waves Award. Highlights for the award ceremony can be viewed here:
